Comprehensive Asbestos Services
Environmental Testing and Management (ETM) provides a full range of asbestos services, including the following:
Inspection, including bulk sampling and analytical results, for suspect asbestos containing materials.
Labeling of confirmed asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in accordance with the OSHA Asbestos Standard and Hazard Communication Standard.
Training, in accordance with EPA AHERA regulations, of personnel who actively remove asbestos containing materials, or those who come into contact casually or via Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities
Project design for remediation projects as required by applicable federal and state regulations for the safe removal of asbestos-containing materials.
Bid specification preparation, presentation and analysis to insure your project is handled by a qualified contractor resulting in a successful project.
Project management, acting as the building owner’s representative to protect owner interest and ensure all asbestos is removed in such a manner as to prevent contamination of areas beyond the removal site.
Project air monitoring before, during and after abatement with analysis via polarized light microscopy (PLM) or transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
ETM has conducted inspections for asbestos-containing materials in more than 1,000 buildings in the Eastern and Southeastern United States. ETM has also completed project design, conducted project management and provided air monitoring services for more than 1,000 remediation projects in buildings ranging from elementary schools to occupied hospitals to complex multistory office buildings to operating industrial facilities.
Clients have engaged ETM’s project management services to oversee abatement projects and to monitor the contractor’s compliance with the project specifications and applicable state and federal regulations. This is especially important to the building owner to insure that removal is proceeding properly and therefore owner liabilities are minimized.
