Asbestos Courses: January - June, 2012

Asbestos Four Day--Worker (OSHA Class I Training) – This course provides asbestos workers with state-of-the-art training as required by EPA’s AHERA regulation. This interactive class will provide instruction in health effects, removal techniques, personal protective equipment and much more. Cost: $500, Dates: January 30-February 2, April 16-19, June 4-7. Asbestos Worker Refresher – This course provides the required AHERA annual refresher training for individuals who are currently licensed as asbestos workers. Cost: $190, Dates: February 10, March 16, April 20, May 11, June 8. Register for course.

Supervision of Asbestos Abatement – This course provides the AHERA required training for those individuals who will be supervising an asbestos abatement project. A supervisor will be given the skills to understand and conform to the acceptable work practices. Cost: $750, Dates: January 23-27, February 20-24, April 2-6, May 21-25. Register for course.

Supervision of Asbestos Abatement Refresher – This course provides the AHERA required annual refresher training for individuals who are currently licensed as asbestos supervisors. Cost: $190, Dates: January 6, January 13, February 10, March 2, March 30, May 4, June 1. Register for course.

Inspector for Asbestos Containing Materials in Buildings – This course provides the AHERA required training for individuals who wish to perform inspections of buildings for the presence of asbestos containing materials. Cost: $500, Dates: January 9-11, February 13-15, March 19-21, April 23-25, May 28-30. Register for course.

Asbestos Management Planning – This course provides the AHERA required training for individuals who are currently accredited as Inspectors and want to become accredited as management planners. Cost: $400, Dates: February 16-17, March 22-23, April 26-27, May 31-June 1. Register for course.

Asbestos Inspection Refresher – This course provides the AHERA required annual refresher training for individuals who are asbestos building inspectors. Cost: $130, Dates: January 4, February 1, February 29, March 28, April 18, May 9, June 13. Register for course.

Asbestos Management Planner Refresher – This course provides the AHERA required annual refresher training for individuals who are asbestos management planners. Cost: $100, Dates: January 4, February 1, February 29, March 28, April 18, May 9, June 13. Register for course.

Asbestos Abatement Project Designer – This course is designed for individuals who will plan and design asbestos abatement projects. Cost: $800, Dates: March 5-March 8, April 30-May 3. Register for course.

Project Designer Refresher– This course provides the AHERA required annual refresher training for individuals who are Asbestos Abatement Project Designers. Cost: $225, Dates: January 12, February 9, March 9, April 12, May 10, June 14. Register for course.

Asbestos Operations & Maintenance (OSHA Class III) Worker Refresher – This course provides the required annual refresher training for individuals who are OSHA Class III asbestos workers. Cost: $150, Dates: Upon Request

Sampling & Analysis of Airborne Asbestos (NIOSH 582) – This course provides training in sampling of airborne asbestos and the analysis of those samples by Phase Contrast Microscopy. Students should bring their own microscope. Microscopes are available for use. Calculator required. Cost: $850 Dates: March 12-March 16, May 14-May 18. Register for course.
